My name is Justin Mistry and I am the Director and Senior Physiotherapist of Back In Motion. We have three locations: Bundall, Burleigh Waters, and Mudgeeraba.

We are a multi- Gold Coast Business Excellence Award-winning practice with a team of 18 Physio’s, 9 Support Team and 2 BDM’s and live by the mantra of ‘great clinical outcomes with exceptional service.’

My role consists of treating patients, mentoring physio’s, systems development and strategic growth, new client generation, and referral streams. I also provide business coaching for health businesses.

As Physio’s, we have an incredible opportunity to bring about massive change and a positive impact on people’s lives. Where we fall down is in our ability to relay this information with the level of confidence to ensure our patients complete our recommended treatment plans.

While we are confident in the delivery of our clinical skills, I engaged the team at SWISH to assist in the development of our ‘non-clinical’ skills – building rapport, generating referrals, objection handling, personality profiling, buying psychology, etc.

All the attributes that would turn a ‘good’ Physio into a ‘great’ Physio… the skills we don’t learn at university!

We engaged SWISH for the SWISH ACADEMY and highly recommend this to anyone thinking about wanting to equip and motivate their teams.

There’s nothing like hearing the same message from another mouth and I was pleased that content provided by SWISH was supporting but also building on our in-house training program and initiatives.

With a number of new team members in our organisation and with more recruits on the way as we continue to grow and expand, having SWISH deliver this training certainly goes a long way in our goal of being a Workplace of Choice.

The BDM roles are new to our practices so I feel this is where we have seen the biggest change. Being given frameworks to prospect, cold call, get past the gatekeeper, book meetings/demonstrations and gain commitment have led to a significant number of new referral streams.
